The P&P Foundation's mission is to promote journalistic interest and visibility in the Philadelphia area, including by organizing educational events and programs in coordination with our nonprofit partner the Pen & Pencil Club.

Philly News Awards
The Philly News Awards is an annual recognition of journalistic excellence in Philadelphia.
Events
The P&P Foundation hosts events, including interviews with Philly newsmakers, showcases of work by local journalists, and instructional sessions for reporters and editors.
Mentorship Program
The P&P Foundation pairs student and early-career journalists with veteran Philadelphia reporters and editors to learn the crafts of the trade.
Pen & Pencil Club
Founded in 1892, The Pen & Pencil Club is the nation's oldest continuously operating press club. The P&P Foundation is a separate nonprofit organization that operates out of the Club's building in Center City. The P&P Foundation partners with the Club to hold events and plans to fund needed physical improvements to the Club's aging building.
